3. Claws and Paws Rescue
The Claws and Paws Rescue’s story begins with 10 Shih Tzu in the Tawas area. Arranging an emerging rescue team helped these puppies be placed in the care of Claws and Paws Rescue.
The story turns around when they find out it was not 10 but many more neglected dogs suffering from the cruelty of an irresponsible breeder.
From 8 months to 8 years old, the dogs were all in various stages of neglect and suffered from health conditions. Many were either partially or completely blind, had hip dysplasia, severe skin conditions, ear infections, rotting teeth, and more.
Some dogs immediately found good homes, and Claws and Paws helped the other dogs by providing proper grooming and boarding, health checks, and proper nutrition so that the dogs would get better as fast as possible.
With excellent care and outreach, all the dogs were placed in their forever homes, some with families with kids and some with only dog households, all receiving the most possible loving attention and care.
Even foster families became forever families to some of the puppies.
